About Fleur Rendell

I make prints in response to my immediate surroundings. Many of my works celebrate the minutiae of natures designs, while others reflect warmly on domesticity and family life, sometimes expressed as treasured memories. They reflect my nostalgia for a simpler life and an ambivalence towards some aspects of modern life.

Japanese wood block prints, as well as pop, street and folk art, are among my stylistic influences.
I enjoy the hands-on process of carving the lino and printing the images on my 1850s cast-iron Albion press.
